The manufacturing industry is often misunderstood as having less importance on the global scale as compared to other industries. Yet, the modern manufacturing industry is of extreme strategic value when it comes to the development of both emerging economies and first-world countries. Manufacturing contributes substantially to the economic growth of a country, serves as a surplus job provider, and provides youth the opportunity to hone their technical skills. But this industry is not without its challenges. Technological innovations, world population, and consumer expectations are all increasing at an alarming pace, therefore, the modern manufacturing industry needs to become more demand-oriented and innovative to cater to these demands.
